A diagrammatic description of the technical architecture of the
project is given below.
Essentially the deployment will be internet based, wherein the
stakeholders access the platform through Internet either from their own
premises or at Akshaya e Kendra closest to their location
Specifications of Technical Architecture
Infrastructure at Agri business centres at Akshaya centres have been
detailed in earlier sections already. Apart from computers, Peripherals
like Printer, Scanner, Webcam these centres are also connected to the
intranet and internet.
All Akshaya centres in Malappuram district are connected by hybrid
Wireless technologies; cost of which has been already borne by the
Government of Kerala under the Akshaya Project.
Full scale Technology Infrastructure at the Data centre is as shown in
the diagram below
However, initially minimal infrstructure shall be limited to minimum
requirement such as Mail server, Live Communication Server, Multicasting
& Content repository management, Database driven Stakeholder enrollment
and Transaction management will be deployed
1) Mail server -1
2) Web/Streaming server -2
3) Database server -1
4) Back up server -1
5) Firewall/AV/Switch/other initial costs
The technical architecture proposed for the project is easily scalable.
The project is scalable with ease :
i) The program is envisaged to ride over the ongoing program of the
Government of Kerala to set up Akshaya e Kendra throughout the state,
about 7000 covering every panchayat in the state. Repeating the pilot
across the state thus will be an easy task
ii) Program entirely relies on internet based platform and easily
scalable. Provisions are made already for scalability
